Winnie and Emma

My Chinese students arrived late last night so I let them sleep in until about 8
and off to breakfast at McDonald's.

Chilaquiles

I had a craving for chilaquiles late in the afternoon. They aren't just for breakfast around here anymore! So I crisped up some tortilla strips and made a spicy sauce in no time.
They came out extra spicy so thank goodness I had sour cream in the fridge and some Parmesan cheese for an extra kick.

Caterpillars

I made two new caterpillar outfits for newborns modeled after The Very Hungry Caterpillar book.
I had fun making these.
I already mailed one in Saturday all the way to Washington state.

This is the final product! It is a lot of work weaving in the ends of the different yarn but I really like how it came out.

I tried my own version of the eyes instead of the one in the pattern.

My signature of authenticity - a red crochet heart! You will find them exclusively on my hand made items.

I made my own version of the antenna too by making an I-cord on 5 stitches that I picked up from the hat itself.

Soufflé

My daughter, Annelise, gets bored when she is at home and usually she chooses cooking or baking to get over it. She's been looking through a French cookbook a friend gave me and she made a soufflé. It came out really good for being the first time.

Sew Day

Tuesdays at the quilt shop they have a group that gets together to work on projects, mostly quilting but since they also had an apron pattern and a sample in the shop that I purchased I wanted to get help with it. Here it is.

Caterpillar Hat

I finished the hat last night and I really liked the way it came out. Sharon's pattern was easy to follow and I think I will use it again.

Caterpillar Outfit

Well, the body is complete and now l will begin the hat. I'm sure I will need assistance from the owner of the yarn shop when it comes time to put the antennas.
