Mamey

Mamey is a Mexican fruit that looks like an avocado. The taste is kind of that of a sweet potato. Lately we could only find it as frozen pulp and used it to make smoothies.

Caterpillar Costume

My nephew, Jose, and his wife are expecting a boy in October and they want me to knit them a caterpillar outfit for his first photo shoot. I found this nice variegated yarn in greens and aqua and this is how it looks so far.

I'm so happy to see how much progress I have made on this scarf. The colors remind me of fall and my daughter said it reminded her of Thanksgiving.
